The Ministry of Communication and Digitalization (MoCD) has lunched the National Sim Card Registeration Exercise across Ghana, starting on the 1st October, 2021. 

 All existing subscribers can re-register their sim using USSD and a sim registeration app (which is to be released later). 


 HOW TO RE-REGISTER USING THE USSD 


 Folow the steps below carefully to re-register your sim card.

  1. Dail *404# on the sim card you want to register.
  2. Enter your Ghana Card number (Enter letters and digits without the hyphen)
  3. Re-Enter your Ghana Card number for confirmation.
  4. Enter your name (Surname, First Name and Other Name)
  5. Enter your Date of Birth in the format DDMMYY
  6. Select your SEX
  7. Confirm details
  8. Submit the details provided.
  9. Visit your Service Provider (Agent Customer Care) to complete registeration.



 

Bio-Capture via SIM Registeration APP

 1. Submit Code and SIM number for verification by Service Provider.

  • If successful, continue to step 2.
  • If unsuccessful, process terminates.    
2. Present your Ghana Card to Registeration Agent.
3. The Registeration Agent captures the following details of the customer;
  • Ghana Card details
  • Photograph
  • Fingerprints
4. The Agent will then submit the captured details.
5. The subscriber recieves a confirmation message.
